Grey Heron returns...with a friend

This beautiful Heron frequents the river next to where we run our dog each day. Today he (or she) brought a friend, the Black-crowned Night Heron seen below.

Everyday we (my wife mostly) take our dog to a local dog park near Chatfield Reservoir. She runs off leash and her favorite stop is swimming for treats in one of the ponds.  The shot show her eagerly waiting for my wife to throw a treat for her to swim to. Such intense concentration!
